Def Leppard/Styx/Foreigner summer tour dates announced

I caught Def Leppard a few years ago when they toured with Cheap Trick and I’ve got to admit the British hard rockers sounded nearly as good in 2005 as they must have back in 1983. With a lineup that has been in tact since  1992 when Vivian Campbell (Dio/Whitesnake) joined following Steve Clark’s death, Def Leppard  will join other big ’80s names Styx and Foreigner this summer on a tour of outdoor sheds across the U.S. heartland. If you’re keeping track at home, Styx features original members James Young and Tommy Shaw while Foreigner features original member Mick Jones (also of note: Foreigner’s singer is Kelly Hansen, ex-Hurricane singer, and their drummer is Jason Bonham).

  1. Is there a way for me to find out which dates are
Def Leppard – Foreigner & Styx together?

  2. When and where will the tickets be on sale for Def Leppard – Foreigner & Styx playing in Calgary on Sept. 29/07

  3. I went to the concert specifically to see Def Leppard; didn’t really care too much about Styx and Foreigner. Styx rocked! They were awesome! Foreigner did a good job as well. The crowd was on their feet the whole time for these two bands. When Def Leppard came out the crowd was initially excited, then was noticeably deflated about 20 minutes into the set. About the time I was thinking I was bored, my husband said he was bored, and asked if I wanted to leave. I have never seen Def Leppard in concert, so maybe I was expecting too much. But I was very disappointed. Maybe they need to scale back on their touring, because they appeared to have no energy, and seemed just plain tired. On the plus side, Styx and Foreigner carried them.

  4. Yeah, dixie821 they were quite aweful. I was there in Las Vegas. They must have been tired or drunk or something because I saw them in Las Vegas, and then I was dragged out to seem them in Calgary on the 29th, and they put on one hell of a show. I do agree that STYX and Foreigner owned them. But when Def Leppard played without the other two, then they owned. It was odd to see. You could expect them to be tired. I mean I can see that, but they are required to put on a good show and they didn’t. Fact to fact. But hey at least STYX and Foreigner held up there end of the deal.
