Tour: “An Evening with Greg Dulli”

This tour is going to do really well, right? I’ve got to believe that the Greg Dulli maniacs are already making their travel plans to attend one of these shows – heck, if we can score Cleveland tickets, we’ll be going.

While it’s called “An Evening with Greg Dulli”, the Afghan Whigs/Twilight Singers/The Gutter Twins singer will be accompanied by Twilight Singers guitarist Dave Rosser and multi-instrumentalist Rick Nelson (Polyphonic Spree) and will play a set of songs spanning his entire career including debuting new material from the Twilight Singers’ album scheduled for release (on SubPop) in early 2011.

Tickets for all shows will go on sale later this week. Check www.thetwilightsingers.com for the most up to date information on where to purchase tickets.

How great is it that Jimmy Kimmel invites bands like Slayer to perform on his show?

Tour: Superchunk

Good news = Superchunk’s touring this summer.
Bad news = Limited dates and nothing in Ohio.

Let’s hope this tour is successful and causes the band to think about doing some additional touring. I’d love to see a 16th-anniversary tour for Foolish where the band plays my favorite album of theirs start to finish. While I don’t really think that’s going to happen this time around, maybe they’ll dust it off in 4 years for a 20th-anniversary tour.
