“Yeah, I listen to a lot of different kinds of music. Have you heard the new Nickelback CD? It’s one of my favorites, I think you’d like it.”

- The Dollyrots have a bunch of summer tour dates lined up. GO SEE THEM!

- The Frames are having a contest where they are asking for fans to help design a new t-shirt. The deadline is July 31 for all of you aspiring t-shirt designers.
- People in Planes are FINALLY recording a new album.
- Zolof the Rock and Roll Destroyer is taking pre-orders for their new album, Schematics, due in stores in September. Hear a song from that album, “Can’t Stand It”, on their MySpace page.
Rocklahoma
The Rocklahoma festival – featuring a who’s who of late ’80s/early ’90s hair metal bands – is currently underway in Pryor, Oklahoma. The location, the price, and the dates all contributed to the fact that I wasn’t able to make it to this dream festival but BringBackGlam.com is doing a nice job of blogging from the event. Make sure to check out the site for live reviews and interviews that will be conducted during the weekend long event.

YouTube discovery: The Guitar Zeros
I can’t decide if this is really cool and a sign of things to come for the future of music or if this is incredibly geeky.
