The Sheila Divine reunion shows

One of my favorite rock n’ roll superstars, Aaron Perrino, is getting back together with his former bandmates, Shawn Sears and Jim Gilbert, for a two-night Sheila Divine reunion in Boston at the end of the year (Dec.28 and 29). A younger me would have made the trek out east to catch the show but, alas, I’ll keep my fingers crossed that audio and/or video from the show makes it online in some fashion early in 2008. If you happen to be in the Boston area, tickets are on sale now for the show.

Looking at the Wiki entry for The Sheila Divine, it appears as if the band reunited earlier this year for a St.Patrick’s Day show and the show is available for download. And while you’re downloading stuff, I’d highly recommend downloading the band’s live cover of “Eleanor Rigby” (MP3).

How about some Sheila Divine videos?

Contrast Podcast: Random Shuffle

Episode 85 of Contrast Podcast has been uploaded by Tim Young with this week’s theme being “Random Shuffle”. The rule was simple: hit the shuffle button on your MP3 player (or iTunes or CD player or whatever you use to listen to music) and then send it to Tim along with an intro. My iRiver landed on “Keep Us in Stitches” by Fiver. I was a little nervous considering I know some of the stuff that’s on my MP3 player probably wouldn’t be real popular with the kids who listen to the Contrast Podcast each week! And, to be honest, I’m really surprised there weren’t more embarrassing tracks on the podcast – I guess either people got lucky or maybe they don’t have any guilty pleasures loaded up.
